Port services have been an important component of Borusan Lojistik’s service portfolio since 1984. In 2007, the section was upgraded to join the three existing strategic fields of business of the company, and Borusan Port management was restructured as a separate business unit.Strategically located at the Gemlik Bay, Bursa, Borusan Port is a major import and export gate into the Turkish heartland as well as a key transit hub for international trade, offering world-class container, general cargo, project cargo, bulk cargo, vehicle (PCC), port and terminal services round-the-clock with an in-house professional staff

  • 1998: First container ship served
  • 2000: Ancillary wharf and equipment investments completed
  • 2002: 6 Sigma methodology integrated into our way of doing business
  • 2002: 200.000 ton benchmark surpassed in General Cargo
  • 2003: First Ro-Ro ship served
  • 2003: Borlos Port Automation software switched on
  • 2004: Authorization requested for Borusan Container Terminal (BCT)
  • 2006: Port Masterplan work
  • 2006: Terminal Operation System project
  • 2006: Port Management Information Systems Department established
  • 2007: Pregate started
  • 2008: Biggest container ship to arrive in our port to date served (MSC Tamara-4250 Teu-LOA 265)
  • 2008: Borusan Port Service Network started
  • 2008: Port R&D department established
  • 2009: First phase of port investments completed, and SSGs put into service
  • 2009: Regular Far East runs started for General Cargo consignments
  • 2010: 15.000 vehicles/month benchmark surpassed in Ro-Ro service
  • 2010: Container handling record set (22.448 TEU)
  • 2010: General Cargo handling record set (281.446 ton)
